Anthony O’Connor, Director, Culinary Services

As Director of Culinary Services, Anthony oversees all aspects of the food service activities on the campus which include Thomas Berry Place events, the Passionist Monastery, the Culinary Arts Training Program, and internal catering/external catering.

Anthony began his career in 1989. After graduating from John Jay College he attended The French Culinary Institute, and once he graduated he was hired as Chef de partie at The Harvard Club of New York City. It was there that he fell in love with fine dining. Four years later he became the Saucier Chef at the acclaimed Four Seasons Restaurant. Since then, Anthony has been an Executive Chef with over 30 years experience ranging from fine dining restaurants, corporate dining ,and as a culinary instructor in both the nonprofit and corporate world. 

As a culinary instructor, Anthony loves seeing his students succeed and thinks there is nothing greater than teaching someone the skills of culinary arts which they can use for a lifetime. Anthony loves Reconnect's mission and teaching and developing future chefs.

Anthony is a die hard boxing fan, an historian and a practitioner. He owns every boxing magazine published in the United States since 1982! He is a native Brooklynite and lives there with his wife and twins.
