Reconnect’s Mission-Aligned Partners

  • Founded in 1923 by the Passionist Order, the Immaculate Conception Church is celebrating its 100th year serving the local Jamaica community and beyond. The Church is directly connected to the Passionist Monastery.

    The Immaculate Conception congregation includes people from all over the world, including people from Latin and South America, people from East Asia, and people from Africa. Many parishioners live in the local community surrounding the church, but a number of people also travel to worship at the Church from the wider metropolitan area.

    Every year, the Church holds XXX of masses and YYY other events, drawing approximately XXXX per year.

  • Thomas Berry Place is, first and foremost, a place that people call home; a place of reflection and prayer, a place of forgiveness, healing and restorative justice. It is, as Thomas Berry might have put it, a place to come away for a while in order to reconnect with one’s self and one’s maker. With its mission-aligned partners, it is a place where people can encounter each other in a deep way and consider the really important questions and challenges of our day.

    Every year, Thomas Berry Place engages XXXX people from many different walks of life through its retreat and conference facilities. On average, the organization hosts XXX events per year. People come to Thomas Berry Place from all over the world.

  • The Passionist order owns and operates a monastery which serves as the grounding formation for seminarians and priests. Approximately 30 priests or seminarians live together in a faith community. The Monastery also hosts others, presently nuns from XXXX are residing at the monastery this year.
