Efrain Hernandez, Manager, Reconnect Cafe and Apparel Shop; Co-Founder of Reconnect

Efrain is one of the co-founders of Reconnect, and he currently manages the Reconnect Cafe and Apparel Shop. Born and bred in Bedford Stuyvesant, Efrain survived many obstacles to arrive at his place as role model and mentor to neighborhood youth. Efrain was the manager of Reconnect Cafe during its time on Tompkins Avenue, and is now managing it in our new location at Thomas Berry Place.

Efrain is most proud of his role in helping to create an organization that changes young people’s lives. He is very happy to continue this work, and to participate in fulfilling Reconnect’s mission.
